Transtelecom Launched Cloud Videoconferencing Based On Videomost Software Platform

LIGHTNING RELEASES MOSCOW, Russia, Oct 14, 2014 - SPIRIT DSP, the world's No. 1 voice and video over IP engines provider serving more than one billion users in over 100 countries, announced today that Transtelecom, #2 wireline provider in Russia, started SaaS delivery of HD web videoconferencing based on VideoMost software platform.

With 2013 revenue of nearly $1B Transtelecom operates and maintains one of the largest fiber-optic infrastructures in Russia that spreads for about 76.000 km. Transtelecom EurasiaHighway connects Russia with networks of neighbor countries, including China, Japan, Mongolia, Korea, Finland, the Baltic States and the CIS and is considered the optimal internet route between Europe and Asia.

VideoMost software platform enables Transtelecom to deliver a co-branded cloud videoconferencing service to its private and corporate clients. The service combines HD videoconferencing with collaboration tools, such as document and desktop sharing, whiteboard, instant messaging, presence status, video sessions recording and the ability to connect SIP endpoints, including legacy video conferencing equipment, and WebRTC support.

Prior to signing the contract Transtelecom thoroughly tested VideoMost for more than a year to make sure the product meets tough telco requirements such as redundancy and high availability, scalability and multi-point HD voice and video quality, as well as Windows, iOS and Android platforms support. The superior quality of VideoMost is empowered by TeamSpirit Voice&Video Engine that provides HD voice quality better by 0.5 MOS than other VoIP products while delivering up to 4K HD video. Transtelecom has extended the list of dozens service providers in the US, Europe and Asia that are benefiting from SPIRIT's mobile video software products.

'The new Transtelecom cloud videoconferencing service is aimed primarily at corporate clients. It is included in the Transtelecom basic service offerings along with broadband internet access,' said Oleg Leonov, head of sales and service at Transtelecom.

'We are pleased to announce a partnership with Transtelecom, one of the largest Russian telecom providers. Our cooperation with Transtelecom will allow enterprises across the country to experience the highest quality of VideoMost HD web videoconferencing service', says Andrew Sviridenko, Chairman of SPIRIT DSP.
